Final Fantasy III is a 2006 role-playing video game developed by Matrix Software and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. It is a remake of the 1990 Famicom game Final Fantasy III, and marks the first time the game was released outside of Japan since its original launch. A port was released for iOS on March 24, 2011. It was followed by an Android port on March 12, 2012, a PlayStation Portable port in late September 2012 (downloadable-only format outside Japan via PlayStation Network) and a Windows port via Steam in 2014 in the west and in 2020 in Japan with further updates.
